Ulasan mengenai Buku teks Applied Science Form 4 dan Form 5


Pada bulan ini (Julai) insyaallah saya akan menghabiskan sukatan pelajaran Applied Science di sekolah.Hakikatnya pelajar pada tempoh percubaan ini merasa begitu keliru dengan subjek ini kerana terlalu banyak kesilapan penulis buku teks yang jelas!
Saya sengaja mengulas isu ini kerana saya merasakan pihak yang menulsi buku teks kurang jelas dengan kehendak dan apa yang berlaku di alam persekolahan. Penulis buku teks merupakan pensyarah di UITM sudak tentu tidak merasai keadaan yang berlaku di suasana persekolahan pada masa kini
Buku teks Applied Science Tingkatan 4 & 5 ini mengandungi 10 modul iaitu
1. Force
2. Work
3. Rate and resistance
4. Energy
5. Power
6. Energy convertors
7. Light and Optical Systems
8. Continuity of Life
9. Nutrition
10. Synthetic Materials

Hari ini saya hanya akan membincangkan tajuk yang pertama iaitu Force. Saya akan cuba mengolahnya dalam bahasa Inggeris

Module 1 Force consist of 3 Unit which is
Unit 1.1 Force in mechanical systems
Unit 1.2 Pressure in Fluid Systems
Unit 1.3 Voltage in Electrical Systems
Unit 1.4 Temperature in Thermal Systems

What actually the essence of this module is that to introduce to the student the effect of force and its similar effect regading to Pressure, Voltage and Temperature to a system.
Unit 1.1 Force in mechanical systems
Student will be introduce to the meaning of force and the example of force applied in daily life and also the measurement of force and the apparatus used to measure force. You can see my note presented in MS powerpoint when you download

Student also going to examine and state what is balanced and unbalanced force
What would the student should achive here is able to overcome problem and applied the situation of balanced and unbalanced force. Activity 2 on page 8 and experiment 2on page 9 is also very useful to make student understand better of balanced and unbalanced force

Torque is new for me and also for a student. But actually it is easy when you understand the meaning of it. The purpose of having torque introduce to the student is this kind of force is very inline and corresponding to what they are learning in their vocational subject.

tp aq pleng x ske tlalu banyak formula yg nk kna tahu..
